It was great meeting those that stopped by to see us at IRCHA. Thank you for taking the time to chat with us. We had a lot of fun with the “I got paddled and IRCHA” tee shirts.
Thanks to all who tried out our new paddles and prototype 450 Pro tail blades during IRCHA. Due to the response from our test pilots and those of you who tried them we are moving quickly to start production of the 450 Pro tail blades. These are not just for the Trex 450 Pro! These are for any 450 which has enough ground clearance to handle the 61mm long tail blades. These tail blades are for those pilots who demand additional performance from their 450 machine.
During IRCHA our thoughts of the need of a 200/250 landing skid was affirmed. Those who commented on the need will be pleased to know we are moving forward with the prototype shown during IRCHA. The final design is being processed and then the mold will be built. The composition will need to be finalized as our specifications demand a flexible landing skid which can also endure very high temperatures without sagging.
Also as mentioned during IRCHA we are working on the design for 200/250 paddles and redesigning the 50/90 size paddles. The paddles design will not change for the 50/90 size paddles but we are improving how the flybar is secured.
Newest Product
KBDD newest product is the paddles which fit the 450, 500 with 2.5mm flybar (Atom) and the 500 with 3mm flybar. These paddles have the stability of our 50 and 90 paddles and are also very aggressive during 3D maneuvers. The 450 and 500 size paddles are not threaded and give the pilot the option of using the front hole (recommended) which provides stability with 3D or the rear flybar hole which gives up some stability but is much more aggressive. The flybar holes and the materials used are designed to not allow the paddles to move. After removing and replacing the same paddles 14 times with hard 3D flights in between, our test pilots could not make them move in flight. These paddles dramatically improve the handling of the helicopter. The picture above is of the 50/90 paddles as the 450/500 paddles have the same design. The difference is the 450/500 size paddles have “KBDD” on them. We are going to add the “KBDD” to most all our products in the near future. We are waiting for new pictures of all our products and will update our pictures on here . We will also send the new pictures to our Dealers.
